Loup Basin Smiles is a fluoride varnish program for Head starts, preschools, and elementary schools in LBPHD's 9 districts.

We provide this program every school year to help reduce oral disease and improve the oral health of our students.

LBPHD uses licensed dental hygienists to perform oral screenings and apply fluoride varnish treatments to children's teeth. The program reaches over 2,000 students during the school year.

This service is covered by Kids Connection/Medicaid insurance. A donation is helpful in order to provide this as an ongoing service. A $15 donation is suggested, but any monetary donation is appreciated. NO child will be turned away.

  • This program should NOT replace your child's regular dental visits.
  • LB Smiles provides an opportunity for children to receive a fluoride varnish application for their teeth
